Chestermere’s real estate market in 2013 was the second most active on record with 325 sales, an increase 0f 27.45% from the previous year.
The annual sales record was set in 2007 with 329 sales.
Overall, the average price in the town increased 4.13% and the median was up 5.75% year-over-year.
Bucking the local trend seen in Calgary, Airdrie & Okotoks, inventory levels were elevated on an annual basis by 13.64%. More specifically, there were an additional 9 listings on the market compared to the start of 2013.
Chestermere is poised to approve a massive 970-hectare residential and business development known as Waterbridge that will buttress the town against Calgary’s border and attract more than 46,000 new residents to the former summer village over the coming decades. (read more…)
