Calgary New Home Prices Below Year Ago Levels In November

Calgary new home prices rose slightly in November according to Statistics Canada, but continued to slide on an annual basis.

The New Housing Price Index for Calgary was up 0.1% from October to November and marked only the second time in 2015 prices increased from one month to the next.

However, prices were down year-over-year by -0.8%.   It was the fourth straight month prices were lower than the year before and the largest annual drop since July 2011.

Please note that the NHPI survey does not include new apartment-style condominiums.
