Calgary’s high-end market acutely felt the sting of low buyer confidence & uncertain economic conditions as sales of $1 million-plus homes fell -59% year-over-year.
Only 27 luxury properties sold during February compared to 66 a year earlier. Sales were also below the 5 and 10 year average for the month.
West Hillhurst led the way with 5 homes selling for over $1 million, followed by Aspen Woods and Chaparral with 3 sales a piece. The highest sale price was $3,650,000 for a home in the SW community of Britannia.
There are currently 571 listings in Calgary with an asking price of $1 million or higher.
