Chestermere home sales rose 53% year-over-year in July to a record high for the month. Forty-six properties total sold for an average price of $506,134 and median of $489,700. Year-to-date, average prices have increased 6.38% and median prices are up 7.69% from the same period last year.
Bucking the trend seen in Calgary and Airdrie, new listings and inventory in Chestermere decreased, albeit slightly, on an annual basis.

Chestermere Census Results
The 2014 municipal census has been completed and Chestermere’s new total population is 17,203. The 9.14% y/y increase marks the most significant growth since 2008 with 1441 new residents choosing the community.
