Nearly 1/5 Fewer Albertans Behind On Mortgage Payments

The Canadian Bankers Association released the most recent figures for residential mortgages in arrears today which showed continued annual improvement in our province.

As of January 2014 there were a total of 2,145 Albertans behind in their mortgage payments by three or more months compared to 2,607 the previous January. That’s a decline of -17.7% in one year’s time and a -49.5% drop from the recent peak of 4,245 recorded in January 2011.
