The “smoking hot” real estate market wasn’t limited to just Calgary in February. Municipalities surrounding the city also were abuzz with activity, far surpassing sales levels from a year ago:
- Airdrie: +32.1%
- Okotoks: +48.65%
- Cochrane: +96.67%
- Chestermere: +166.67%
Airdrie continues to experience an inventory shortage with -29% fewer active listings than last year, and the lowest level to begin March since 2006.
The overall average price in the city increased 13.98% and the median was up 13.4% y/y.
Sales climbed 32% y/y with 107 homes selling during the month. That’s the 3rd highest February total.
