Fewer Albertans were behind on their mortgage payments by 3 or more months in October according to data released by the Canadian Bankers Association.
Alberta’s mortgage arrears rate improved to 0.4%, the lowest it has been since December 2008. Arrears in the province have been on a steady decline since peaking in January 2011 at 0.84%.
For Canada overall, the arrears rate remained steady at 0.31% in October.
