Calgary Luxury Home Market Report: October 2013

October marked the 9th straight month that Calgary’s luxury home market posted a monthly sales record.

A total of 57 properties (50 single family homes and 7 condos) sold for a $1M or above which is a 14% increase from the previous October high.   The all-time sales record is 83 set back in May of this year.

There have been 640 high-end sales year-to-date.  That’s already a 17.6% increase from 2012’s year-end total which was a banner year itself.

The most expensive sale for the month was a $2.9M home being built in Elbow Park/Glencoe.  Altadore/River Park and Springbank Hill were the two most active communities with 4 sales each.

At month-end there were 451 properties listed for a million plus: 400  SFH and 51 condos.  That’s a slight drop from September’s 477.

  1. I wish you have a photo of that property in Elbow Park/Glencoe that cost $2.9, so we can see why that property was so expensive. 😀

  2. @ Avida:
Use Google street view to find out, if you have the address (or even the street name or zip code). You can travel the world with it.

  3. @wsn, can’t find the exact location of the place sir, but I tried using Google street view.
