1-in-5 Calgarians Paying Full Asking Or Above

Nearly 20% of Calgarians buying a single family home this month have paid the full asking price or above.

Of the 1063 SFH sales month-to-date, 71 were sold at full list price while another 137 sold above asking.

Zone A (NW Calgary) has had the most activity with 81 out of the 360 (22.5%) homes with a sales to list price of at least 100%, followed by:

  • Zone C (SW Calgary):  53 /275  (19.3%)
  • Zone D (SE Calgary): 41 / 239 (17.2%)
  • Zone B (NE Calgary): 33 / 189 (17.5%)

In the condo market, the percentage of units sold at list price or higher is tracking around 14% so far this month.  That’s also the  highest September level since at least 2006.
