It’s funny how with all the talk of slowing housing markets, some municipalities are posting record months.
Thirty-nine properties sold in June, a new peak for the month. Year-to-date sales are up 18.52% from last year with average and median prices up over 4%.

The Town of Chestermere has now taken ownership of the portion of Highway 1A that lies within the Town boundaries and has officially renamed it ‘Chestermere Boulevard’.
By taking ownership of Highway 1A, the Town now has the ability to maintain it at Town standards, expand it, create new intersections, set the speed limit, and better respond to the traffic needs of Chestermere residents. Prior to having ownership, all decisions about the road were made by Alberta Transportation.
A reminder that the Chestermere Water Festival is on Saturday, July 27, 2013. With the annual fishing derby, wakeboard competition, artisan market, summer music showcase, and more, residents enjoy an abundance of ways to get out and celebrate summer!
