Crescent Heights Home Sells For $11.1M – New Record

A Crescent Heights home now holds the title for the most expensive MLS® sale in Calgary. The home of former Shaw executive Jim Shaw (source) sold for $11,100,000 after being listed for $11.5M since October 2012. The residence previously sold in June 2008 for $7,500,000 (+48%)

You can watch a video of the home here.

With this sale, the Aspen Woods home that sold in February for $10,350,000 is bumped to #2 on Calgary’s most expensive list.

Calgary Luxury Market

Through June 1-28, a total of 73 properties (66 SFH, 7 condos) have sold for $1M or more. The all-time record was set last month with 84 luxury sales.

Interestingly, through 4 weeks in May the sales total was only 71 but 13 sold in the final three days.  It unlikely we’ll see the same month-end surge again in June as there is one fewer day and the month ends on the weekend.  Still, a new June record has already been set.  Last June the month-end total was 58 high-end sales.
