Chestermere Real Estate Market Statistics: March 2013

Probably the most significant real estate news for Chestermere residents last month was the 53% tax hike on the education portion of the property tax.  That’s roughly $400 for the average home.   Time will tell what impact that will have on potential Chestermere home buyers…

March was relatively similar to last year – one more property sold overall, however there were no condo sales.

Q1 year-over-year sales for single family homes and condo-apartments were exactly equal.  There were two  fewer townhome sales which accounted for the -3.57% y/y total sales drop.
