Calgary single family home sales for the first week of July marked the slowest start to a month since March which also had 308 sales.
Even so, this was an increase of +30.51% from July 1-7, 2011.
The new mortgage rules were officially announced on June 21st, but it didn’t seem to have any noticeable impact on sales as the consecutive week-over-week declines continued into July.
The most active communities month-to-date have been in:
- McKenzie Towne (10 sales)
- Coventry Hills (9 sales)
- Evergreen (8 sales)
It seems that the luxury market is continuing to cool down. There were 9 homes that sold for $1 million or more in the first week of July, down from the 14 recorded in the first week of last month.
