SAM 2011 Award Winners

The SAM Awards, now in its 25th year, celebrate innovation and excellence in the Calgary and area’s residential construction industry. The award ceremony was held last night at the Telus Convention Centre.

Some of the top awards – the Grand SAMs – went to:

  • Builder of the Year: Jayman MasterBUILT.  The builder unseats Morrison Homes, the previous winner for the last 10 consecutive years.  Jayman isn’t new to the podium –  they won in 1988, and then went on to take seven awards over the next eight years.
  • Multi-family Builder of the Year:Bucci Developments Ltd
  • Renovator of the Year: Ultimate Renovations
  • Builder of Merit: Canterra Custom Homes

Congratulations to all the winners and finalists!

From the CHBA: “The judging process is detailed, with points awarded for each entry judged by peers within the industry. The top five in each category receive additional placement points that help determine the Grand SAM winners, plus companies must enter a set number of categories in order to qualify and must win in at least one of those categories. All results are authenticated by an outside firm.”
