The River Condo Sets Calgary MLS® Record

A unit listed yesterday at THE RIVER boasts the highest asking price ever for a Calgary condominium on MLS®.

Listed at $7,990,000, it surpasses the previous highest list price of $6,250,000 which was a Princeton Grande unit  in Eau Claire. That unit ultimately sold nearly a year later at $4.1M, the highest ever SOLD price of a condo listed on MLS® in Calgary.

It will interesting to watch what this unit and the 2 others listed in the building sell for and when – I’ll keep us posted.

Note: Although news was made earlier in January for a $8.3M pre-sale at the River, it wasn’t listed on MLS®.

In BMO’s Spring Housing Market survey released earlier this week, the senior vice-president of Sotheby’s International Realty Canada, said the boom in the luxury single-family home and condo markets continues to be strong, with Calgary seen as a “developing market” in the high-end housing market.
