Alberta Mortgages In Arrears Figures Revised – December 2011

The Canadian Bankers Association finally released December 2011’s mortgages in arrears figures, which included revisions for the months of August through November.

The percentage of total mortgages in arrears for Alberta were revised higher, but it’s due to a downward revision to the total mortgages rather than an increase to arrears.   (I don’t know why total mortgages fell by 6763 between July & August in Alberta, or by over 59,000 for Canada)

With a total of 3,753 in arrears out of a total of 517,911 mortgages, the percentage edged lower to 0.72%, the lowest percentage since April 2010.  It was the lowest amount of mortgages in arrears since June 2010  (3,707)
