A total of seventy-seven single family homes sold yesterday which was the highest one day total since last June. Month-to-date there have been 758 SFH sales, jumping ahead of last February’s MTD sum of 715. Between February 1-17, the 758 transactions is the highest total y/y going back to 2007 when there were 1248 sales during the same period.
I’ll have another update on the 22nd showing a y/y comparison of the first 3 weeks of February for an apples-to-apples look. (Friday usually posts the highest sales of the week)
Inventory Reduced
On February 17, 2011 there were 3433 active SFH listings compared to the 3235 for sale yesterday (-5.77%) New listings are down -10% MTD.
