Calgary’s New Housing Price Index (NHPI) rose 0.2% in October, following a 0.3% increase in September, according to the report out from Statistics Canada today. The index was up 0.3% from the previous October.
The index showed larger increases Canada-wide, with the NHPI up +2.5% y/y. The largest y/y increases were in:
- Winnipeg (+5.6%)
- Toronto & Oshawa (+5.6%)
- Regina (+5.1%)
Among the 21 metropolitan regions surveyed, 4 posted 12-month price declines in October. The largest y/y decreases were in:
- Windsor (-3.3%)
- Victoria (-1.9%)
